Meet the Team
PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR
Chantal Boucher, Ph.D., C.Psych
Assistant Professor, Certified Psychologist
Dr. Boucher earned her Ph.D. in Adult Clinical Psychology at the University of Windsor. She completed predoctoral training with the Calgary Clinical Psychology Residency Program and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan. She joined the University of Windsor as an Assistant Professor in 2021.
In addition to psychological assessment and diagnosis, she is trained in multiple models of psychotherapy (e.g., CBT, ACT, EFT, psychodynamic and interpersonal/attachment-based approaches), and is drawn to person-centered and culturally-responsive methods of integration. She is licensed in the province of Ontario with competencies across the lifespan, and for individuals and couples.
Dr. Boucher directs the Memory, Emotion, and Therapy Applications (META) Lab and teaches the following courses: Psychological Disorders (undergraduate), Psychopathology (graduate), Introduction to Psychotherapy (graduate), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (graduate), and Advanced Adult Psychotherapy (graduate).
GRADUATE STUDENTS
Nour Yassine
Lab Coordinator, PhD2
Nour is a second-year PhD student and the lab coordinator. Her master's thesis aims to investigate the inter- and intra-personal factors that influence decisions about the veracity of memories.
Anas Alsayed Hasan
PhD1
Anas is a first-year PhD student. He is currently working on his thesis, which focuses on how mindfulness strategies might facilitate psychological closure and emotional change in relation to distressing and unresolved autobiographical memories.
Serena Robinson
MA 2
Serena is a second-year MA student with an Honours degree in Psychology with Thesis and Music. She is currently researching the effects of a self-compassion on open memories.
HONOURS THESIS STUDENTS
April Jones
4th Year Honours Psychology
April is a fourth-year Honours Psychology with Thesis student and Outstanding Scholar. She continuing as a research assistant exploring the effect of mental focus strategies on the reported memory characteristics of differentially cued autobiographical memories. She will also be completing her undergraduate thesis under the supervision of Dr. Boucher.

4th Year Honours Psychology
Yeganeh is currently a fourth-year Honours Psychology with Thesis student and Outstanding Scholar in the META Lab.
